Description Offered or sale we have this excellent, Victorian Era Anglo-Indian porcupine quill ebony and ivory work / sewing box.
Having a stave panel constructed case mounted with quills and ivory coloured bone inlaid ebony wood. The top opening to reveal an ivory inlaid bullseye panel. No missing quills.
Nice large size.

MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES: Materials: wood/quill/boneCONDITION: In excellent condition throughout, in good clean order with good patina and colour. A few replaced quills and just some minor, superficial marks and a few losses of the bone inlay, as you would expect for a box that is over 150 years old

A good functional box that would display well. This would make a lovely storage or jewellery box.
