This pendant is unique for several reasons, it’s double sided swivel design, the sweet scallop border and the detailed pictorial blonde hair panel - the other side looks like like brown hair with a little grey mixed in. The swivel moves fluidly as it should and both glass panels are intact without any chipping or surface wear. There are a few old solder repairs along the edges of the glass which looks to be done in order to secure the panels shut. There is a little bit of wear to the gold finish but its a modest amount and the piece has a bright and golden patina. Overall this is a detailed and beautifully made, mourning swivel locket pendant, that is from the Victorian era and is in very good condition.
