This is a lovely antique Victorian circa 1890 sterling silver Scottish agate and glass Cairngorm citrine brooch.
I have collected agates in Scotland for over 20 years and know where most of the lovely gemstones that Victorians used for their classic jewellery were found.
The stones are beautiful grey and white banded agates from Montrose and a nice oval facetted glass citrine made to simulate a real citrine from the Cairngorm mountain range.The length is 3.7 cm and the pin and C clasp are in good working condition and original.
