This piece if for Brian. We offer for your consideration a bright stunning piece of history and mourning art with the blonde red lock of the young lady\'s hair in the back of the brooch. The portrait is undamaged by time and remained unfaded and true to color with her highly blushed lips and cheeks she appears young and full of life still. Her expression is peaceful and serene with the knowledge of a better home in heaven. Please note, the radiating lines on the back of the pendant show the wavy glass. The lady\'s bodice show slight vertical crackling lines, which are unnoticeable until close scrutiny. The glass front shows minor age related wear. Please note the minor blemish near her right eye is on the glass. Her left side of her face and her bodice show a slight crackle. Her black dress is elaborate with the attractive flowers and a metallic silver border across the neckline. Her hair is even full of youth and sunshine. She is a stunning beauty and work of art. The labor of love to create such an attractive and aesthetically pleasing work of art is amazing. She is delicate and feminine. The brooch itself enjoys totally intact front with elaborate border details and pristine unscratched glass surface. The pin of the brooch is well attached and the clasp opens smoothly and locks into place securely. The glass on the back side exposes the lock of hair and serves as a window into the soul of the gold. This piece is one of two from the same family. The second portrait is a seperate listing. These were both passed down in the family of a friend. She enjoyed the heirlooms and is now downsizing her collection to enable an easy move closer to her grown children. These pieces were beautifully preserved inside of a jewelry box for many decades and appear free of dust and major issue.
