The History

This beautiful pair of earrings comes from the Art Deco Era! The Art DecoEra is famous for being the \"Gatsby\" or\"RoaringTwenties\" Era. A lot of gorgeous and timeless designsin jewelry came out of this period.

During the Art Deco Period jewelers often made jewelry upon customorder, this would often take weeks to months to completely craft by hand.

835 Silver is a purity ofsilver only used in European countries pre 1940. This was due to the silvercoins of the era being made of that same period. Jewelers and silversmith\'sfound it easier to take these coins that were already guaranteed at that purityand melting them down, instead of guessing and hopefully getting the puritycorrect, this is also called (Coin Silver). 835 Silver are particularly used in Austria.

Each piece of this set is made in the Pre 1918 Austro Hungarian Style, however was made Circa 1922 and is stamped with Austria\'s Toucan hallmark as well as with the \"W\", Vienna Assay letter. They are also marked with a makers initials of \"WS\" and the silver standard of 835.

Bohemian Garnets havebeen mined in the Bohemian Hills of Czechoslovakia since the 16th century.These garnets reached their height ofpopularity in jewelry of the Victorian era to the Art Deco Era\'s. BohemianGarnet is widely coveted due to its gorgeous red hues and due to the fact thatthis Garnet has been depleted and no known mines exist any longer.

Lavaliere\'sare necklaces that included a chain orsmall link necklace, fairly long, that terminates in a single large pendant ortassel, which in turn often has additional pendants or tassels dangling fromit; though named for a mistress of Louis XIV, the style is usually associatedwith turn-of-the-20th century jewelry, and remained popular into the 1930s.

The Piece

The Bracelet - The bracelet features 5 rose cut center Bohemian Garnet\'s and 10 smaller one\'s surrounding them. Flanking those are 10 lustrous seed pearls. The bracelet measures 7.25\" by almost 1\" wide and includes a secure push clasp. The silver work includes highly ornate floral patterns and carved silver work.

The Necklace - The necklace is made in the lavaliere style and includes the same gorgeous silver work that the bracelet includes within the bottom pendant and the links of the necklace, even the links are in the shapes of connecting vine patterns throughout. The necklace also includes gorgeous rose cut Garnets throughout. The necklace measures 18\" not including the dangle. The bottom pendant measures 2\" and is hollow and highly ornate. The necklace includes a secure push in clasp with safety chain.

The Earrings - The Earrings are made in the same metal working style and feature beautiful rose cut garnets and highly ornate silver work throughout. The bottom of the earrings include paper link silver links that act as tassels. The backings are clip on\'s, however any jeweler can convert these easily.

The Ring - The ring features the same gorgeous ornate silver work throughout as well as rose cut Bohemian Garnet\'s too. It is a size 6, however any jeweler can easily re-size this as well.

This complete set is a rarity to find, it includes a necklace, bracelet, ring, and earrings. The metal working would of been completely carved and crafted by hand, it truly is a museum quality masterpiece!
