Antique/Vintage Butter Keeper with Insert FURNIVALS LTD OLD CHELSEA 1890 - 1913I am pleased to offer for your consideration this antique/vintage round butter keeper set with insert. These pieces were used for handmade round molded butter. The insert holds butter with a dish of ice underneath. There are 3 pieces - cover, insert, and bowl. The cover and insert are in really excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing, both of these pieces are unmarked. The bowl is in usable but not great condition with crazing and discoloration, and a hairline crack on the bottom. The mark on the bowl indicates it is from 1890 - 1913. *** I am not certain if the bowl is part of the original butter keeper set, I think it would have been a plate or dish of some kind, rather than a bowl.***Pictures shown are actual items for sale.
