This is an antique/vintage (circa 1920s, I believe) set of cast bookends. They are marked with the BronZmet logo an look to be bronze, but may be cast iron... I\'m not sure how to tell the difference. They weight a total of 6 lb 11 oz together and a magnet will stick to them. They each measure 5 1/2\" tall, 5 1/8\" wide, and 2 1/2\" deep. They\'re in great condition, see photos for as many angles as I could get. These were finished with some sort of sealant or varnish at some point, it\'s what\'s causing the shine in some of the photos, some of that varnish has worn off, some of it made runs on the backside of the bookends, I believe it was meant to protect them from rusting. As far as actual damage goes, there is only one spot near the very center of one. It looks like it fell on to something sharp and chipped the metal a bit, or at least the finish, this is visible in the photos, and most easily spotted as a white spot, near the center, in the photo with the red book. It is only noticeable if you\'re looking for it, and the other bookend is undamaged as far as I can tell.
