Rare Anton Reiche Antique, Vintage Rabbit Chocolate Mold. Anton Reiche designed this unique Chubby Rabbit for the \"sole agents for U.S.A.\" the T.C. Weygandt Company of New York City which was in business from 1885 - 1942. On one side of the mold you can read the makers mark of Anton Reiche, Dresden with the number 5 at the end of the design, the other side is stamped T.C. Weygandt Co. New York, Made In Germany. Both pieces are stamped #2 showing this is a matched set, along with catalog number 16246. Measuring approx. 6\" high x 6 1/2\" long x 2 1/2\" wide. Just imagine this bunny as a solid piece of fine chocolate. This adorable mold shows the warm shine of tin with wonderful patina which is indicative of molds made prior to WWII when chocolate molds were made from stamped sheet steel and then tinned by a tinsmith.
