On December 8 the same year he founded a company which specialized in punching and stampingpaperboardtogether with his wife, Martha. During this period of time Hans manufactured puppets ofpapier-mâché. To which I add: he also made dolls.
This 13 1/2\" doll has a socket head, pretty original face paint, and deep blue open/shut sleep eyes with long full eyelashes. She has a tiny black speck/mark on the inside of her left cheek. The back of her head is marked with the characteristic intertwined HV that was Hans Volk\'s mark.
She is in excellent overall condition, with some minor wear on the back of her upper left calf and a very fine hairline crack above the left knee in back.The hairline crack is cosmetic in nature, does not seem to be in danger of getting any worse, and doesn\'t detract from her charm. Both hands have a bit of paint loss or chipping between her thumb and forefinger. Please see photographs for details.
That said, the detailing in her legs, especially her knees is excellent.She appears to have her original wig, with original metal hair barrette and original shoes and socks. Her shoes are a peachy pink leather or leatherette with silver buckles on top and matching laces. Her socks look old and original.I have not removed her shoes and socks, but if it is important to you, please contact me and I\'ll post a photographs of her bare feet.
She wears a pretty lace-trimmed dainty floral dress with white lace-trimmed slip and panties. I don\'t know that her dress, slip or panties are original, but they fit her well and I have freshly laundered them.
She is very clean, and has been kept in a smoke-free, pet-free home.
