Antique Vintage I L Davis Cast Iron Hand Crank Sewing Machine Patd 1850-1865
Excellent Civil War era sewing machine by I. L. Davis. The only place I could find a maker\'s mark is on one of the pieces under the sewing platform (see last photo) that is marked \"I. L. Davis\".
The sewing platform is marked with a series of nine patent dates beginning on November 12, 1850 through December 12, 1865.
Turns and all the mechanical parts appear to operate properly. Wooden handle in good condition. Some of the decorative gold paint is still present.
About 12\" x 5.5\" and 8\" tall.
Very nice addition to a collection. Don\'t miss it!
