Here we have an Antique Vintage acetylene or Caroffere Car or Truck Road Light from the first quarter of 1900s.

This lamp should be a model produced between 1910s and 1920s for Fire Engine Trucks.

All made of solid brass with tin lining interior .

It has a plaque engraved :

\" MANGIN LENS MIRROR PILOT 258 ROTAX MOTOR ACCESSORIES Co LONDON \"

At the back is stamped \" Pat No 27418/08 \"

The burner is marked \" BRAY.... No14... for Roadlight.. \"

Overall fair conditions commensurate with age, no major dents, front rim and glass CLEARLY BROKEN.

Front lid hinges and clasp in working order.

Even with the damaged front Rim the glass was standing perfectly before I dropped and smashed it in pieces (darn!) . I will include the larger fragment in the sale so will be easier get a replacement from a glassmaker. Some screws to block the rim are missing,easy to replace though.
