Vintage solid brass advertisingletter opener for John C. Hieber & Co. of Utica, N.Y.. Embossed on one side with a Victorian cherub and on the other with the company name and a likeness of the Hieber Building, builtin 1893. Originally constructed as a combined dry goods warehouse and sales facility, it\'s nowhome to the Children\'s Museum of Utica, New York. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2007. The opener is 7 1/2\" in length, with wearcommensurate with age as shown in the attached photos.
