FREE SHIPPING ANYWHERE IN THE CONTINENTAL US! This is a gorgeous 19th century porcelain compote with nautilus shell and delightful little cherubs. Made by the Vokstadt factory in Germany c. 1870-90. Compote measures 11 1/2\" tall x 9 1/2\" long and 4 1/2\" wide. Tiny colorful flowers are hand-painted inside the bowl as well as on the woman\'s dress. The pedestal base has many swirls, giving it a sea-swept appearance as it carries the shell along. The features on the faces of the cherubs and the woman are exceptional, as would be expected from a piece of Dresden porcelain. Sweet...

Condition: The cherub at the front of the shell appears to have the tip of his index finger missing, as does the cherub at the lower back of the shell. There is also chipping to the tips of the lady\'s left hand. The cherub holding the cymbals has a chip to one of his wings. Considering the all the delicate details on this figure, it is in amazing condition.
