You are buying an Antique Wood Carved Cricket Hand Painted Metal Wire Limbs Figurine 2.5\" . He is old dont know his exact age but most likely 1920s early 1930s. He is stamped just japan on the bottom. He is carved wood over some type of metal wires for the limbs. His paint looks to be hand painted. I do not know the maker. He is adorable its is possible that he is supposed to be jiminy cricket. He has some wear and flaws as he is old and fragile. There is some paint loss as shown its most noticeable on the hat, some on the mouth area and the limbs the other areas are minimal. Where the neck and feet are attached I can see glue residue not sure if that is how it was put together or a repair. Some flake off paint in areas. Some small little nicks and marks in areas. He has some soiling pick up. One arm has a longer antenna on it the other does not but I do not see traces of it having one so it may be the design. He does have flaws he is not mint but it is still displayable. Flaws shown in the photos.
