Here is a charming antique wood hinged boxused at the 1900World\'s Fair in Paris(Exposition Universelle) to store and display boxes of starch (amidon) made by Verley, which won the Grand Prix (grand prize). The polar bear (ours blanc) was the logo. Design is carved and inked into the wood. A really interestingand historic piece.Please inspect all photos thoroughly as they arean essential part of the antique\'s description.Piece measures 6\" tall, 16\" wide, and 9.5\" deep. A terrific piece at a great price!!
