Description - Offering an antique 1862 Civil War Union soldier ambrotype. Glass plate measures approx., 3 1/4\" X 2 3/4\". There is writing inside the case that tells about the image. Says it is Jared Lamphier from Michigan City, age 17 from the 9th regiment. I did a simple research from a National Parks web page and this soldiers name came up and shows him in the 9th reg. Image is wonderful and clear with no major problems to mention. The case has seperated but is still in good shape. Pictures can be enlarged and will show the condition well.
