Beautiful gold handle presentation cane .The cane is Ca.1890 and is 35 inches long . The handle is near perfect with a few tiny dings ,as shown in photos , in the soft 16k gold .No wear to gold . The handle was tested at 16 k with acid and electronically with a mizar m24 gold tester.But I do not cut into the gold for further testing . The shaft medium brown rattan ,still shiny with a little age patina and a few age cracks with no problems .The ferrule has very little wear . Walked very little and put away for 120 years . This is a one of a kind cane with no gold wear and can be used or a stand out in your cane stand .Great present for the most discriminating cane collector or an even better present to yourself .
