An antique large Jewel Chest/ Box by the celebrated maker William Comyns, of veryfine quality. Good condition, with no repair or restoration. Clearly and well hallmarked twice for London 1905. There has been very slight bending of legs as is usually the case, but the piece currently sits squarely without rocking, see photos. I would not touch it personally, but any silversmith could straighten the legs out in a few minutes. This is a larger box of its type, measuring 5.75\" wide, and weighing a heavy 5.18 tr oz.
