Vintage Bronze Danish Style Bookends from The Armor Bronze Company in New York City. This pair has great detail, beautiful craftsmanship, and are in excellent condition for their age. Pair is stamped by its maker underneath. They depict a Dutch man and a Dutch woman. They are bronze-jacketed, which is a mixture of white metals with a deep bronze patina, and filled with a composition. Also explained by the company as a \"seamless Armor of pure Bronze cast over an everlasting core\". The color is applied by an \"old\" Chinese and Egyptian process know as POLYCROME which gives it a nice bronze patina look. Set weighs 6 pounds, and can also be used as a door stop!
