Jugend (“Youth” in German) was an influential German art magazine that featured the work of many famous Art Nouveau artists. The name is the source of the term “Jugendstil” (“Jugend-style”), the German version of Art Nouveau. Among the many artists published by Jugend were Arnold Böcklin, Franz von Stuck, Peter Behrens, Julius Klinger, Bruno Paul, Otto Eckmann, Bernhard Pankok, Julius Diez, Robert Engels, and Heinrich Kley.
Condition:Good condition. Along the spine there are 5 notches and a crease from where the issue was later included in a bound volume and one interior page has a 2 inch tear. See photos for details.
