One of the most beautiful antiques I have ever seen. This an ArtNouveau electroplated pewter-encased cut glass Claret Jug made byrenowned Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik(WMF). The mounts are formed of maidenssurrounded by waterlillies. The elegant whiplash handle is formed of grapevines.

Markings on thebase mounts read \'B\' (Britannia Metal),\'I/O\' (Normal thickness of gilding or silver-plating), \'WMFG\' (WürttembergischeMetallwarenfabrik Geislingen) and \'OX\' (oxidised).

Dimensions: 39 cmtall and can take a bottle of wine.
