This is a gorgeous hand beaten copper jug by the company, \'William Souter & Sons\'- sometimes known as \'Souterware\'. It dates to around the turn of the century and is typical of the Arts & Crafts style.It measures 18 cm in height and has a base diameter of 11.2 cm. It is clearly marked to the base.The finial and handle are coppered brass- to add strength, the body and lid are copper.The condition is very good- there are some slight dints and wobbles but no damage.This is a stylish jug with plenty of character.
