Only found in the Limousin Region of France, this authentic gold egg is made of a specialized porcelain with a clay called Kaolin.The kaolin found in the rich soil in the Limousin area of France is the vital element in the mix that makes up Limoges porcelain paste.
This is an exquisite French Limoges egg that is hand painted in real gold with a beautiful highly detailed floral design, pretty pastel flowers with green leaves. In the hand painted process, colors are added one color at a time. Each time a color is added, the piece must be re-fired. The more colors on a piece the more expensive and & time took to create. This egg has colors of black, white, pink, green, yellow, and lavender.
This elegant and colorful egg measures 3 1/2\" tall x 2 1/2\" wide. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or crackling, comes in a box.
