Genuine HODREWA (Also known by Dieter Legler/Holz- und Drechslerwaren GmbH) VINTAGE Blue Soldier Nutcracker with Sword/Scabbard. Made in Olbernhau, Germany. A truly Unique Design! 100% Authentic! Item is in VINTAGE condition! This Nutcracker design represent a Traditional Husar Cavalryman known often for their flamboyant battlefield Attire and Performance. It is considered a VINTAGE Nutcracker that is no longer in production. Similar Nutcrackers can be often found, but they are usually shorter with a button-type nose, missing Sword/Feet/Eyes/Original Box, and/or replaced Cording on the Helmet/Hat. Not this Nutcracker! There are NO missing, loose, or broken parts. Jaws have little to no signs of wear--item has never been used to crack a shell since being purchased in 2003. Hair and Beard for this design are traditionally made from spun polyester. 14\" tall. This Nutcracker is quite impressive! The LEFT Arm is traditionally held at an angle in this design, and both Arms are capped with White/Gold Epaulets. Comes complete with a fierce Sword/Scabbard attached to the left Hip with a leather strap! This Nutcracker also demonstrates a 1/4 round Nose that is only seen in higher quality and larger Legler/HODREWA Nutcrackers. Originally purchased in September 2003 and comes with an older style Box (but still ORIGINAL) and has been on display occasionally in a closed cabinet--otherwise it has always been kept in the Original Box. A real Collector can recognize the value in this Rare Find! Item will be carefully packed and shipped in the Original Box.
