This is a lovely peice of pre-used antique French 19th century linen cretonne. The design is typical of the 1870s with its black background and lovely pink shades.
The colours here are very good, mostly bright and crisp with slight fading over time, a pre-used piece that was once quilted so if you hold it up to the light there are lines of tiny holes where the quilting stitches once were, most of the tiny stitch holes will close up once washed. It is mostly good condition with minor wear, see photos, a pretty piece in lovely colours for small projects or reference.
It measures about 27" by 14.5" or 68.5 cms by 37 cms. Thank you for looking.
