Description Asuperb large early pair of English antique Georgian solid sterling silversugar tongs by the famous silversmiths Peter, Ann & William Bateman and with full English silver hallmarks for London 1802.Beautiful quality 212 year old examples, in excellent condition, and decorated with fine period prick-work/wriggle-work engraving. Small period entwined monogram in cartouche.
