Description A beautiful large decorative English antiqueEdwardiansolid sterling silver jewellery box by the silversmith William Comyns, in lovely condition and with full English silver hallmarks for London 1907.Superbquality111 year old silver box, and a handsome size, witha hinged lid and resting on 4 silver cabriole legs with lions paw feet. It is decorated on the top with an embossed figural landscape scene, with scrolled borders and inside it has its original undamaged blue velvet lining with gilding under the lid. Thereare no added engraved personal inscriptions or monograms and it weighs a heavy approx 155 grams.

MeasurementsNice size, measures approx4.6 inches (155mm)x 3.2 inches (81mm) and stands 2.2 inches (54mm) in height.

Date English antique Edwardian solid sterling silver, with a full set of English silver hallmarks for London 1907, (date letter \"m\"). Good matching hallmark stamps on base and lid.Maker Silversmiths initials \"W.C\" (William Comyns).
ConditionLovely condition, with no splits or cracks to the silver,no solder repairs, definitely no wear holes and no nasty knocks ordents, just a couple of minor little bruises, really nothing and a superb silver box. The hinged lid works perfectly, opening and closing securely and the interior blue velvet lining 100% intact. The silver legs have no breaks or repairs. Great size and it has a good heavy silver weight.
