Description A beautifullargedecorative English antique19th CenturyVictoriansolid sterling silverhinged photo locket, in lovely condition and with a full set of English silver hallmarks for Birmingham 1882.Excellent quality genuine 136 year old silver example, (not a modern re-production), has a hinged side opening and is decorated with attractive engraved scroll-work on one side and an aesthetic leaf design on the other side.Has the original undamaged silver tear drop attachment loop and inside it is nice and cleanand still has itsremovable oval silver border retainer on one side.There arenoadded personal engraved inscriptions or monograms and it comes complete with a very nice 20 inch solid silver belcher link chain. Ready to be worn.

MeasurementsGood size, measures approx. 2.25 inches (55mm) (including attachment loop), x1.25 inches (32mm)and is 0.3 inches (8mm) deep. Including the chain, the total length/drop is 12.25 inches. The silver link chain measures 20.5inches in length end to end.

There are no splits or cracks, no solder repairs and no nasty knocks or dents, a very nice genuine 19th Century silver example.The side hinge still works perfectly and the lid opens and closes securely. Complete with interior oval silver photo border frame on one side and has protective perspex glass on both sides. As a bonus there are no added personal engraved inscriptions.
