Up for sale is a BEAUTIFUL FOOTED SIGNED P.CURNOCK GLAMIS THISTLE 1938 ROYAL DOULTON TEA CUP AND SAUCER SET.

This set has a lovely large mauve thistlepattern with bright green leaves and stems full of thorns. There is another oneon the inside of the cup. It looks so realistic so therefore really stands out.The cup has a pretty art deco handle. This set is edged in gold gild. Bothpieces are trimmed with a deep green band.

The cup opening is 3 ½” wide and just under3” tall. The saucer 5 5/8” wide.

The base is stamped: MADE IN ENGLAND, ROYALDOULTON BONE CHINA, GLAMIS THISTLE FOUND NEAR GLAMIS CASTLE, HOME OF QUEENELIZABETH. H. 4601 R. 1938.

This set is in very good condition, nochips, cracks or crazing. Only very fine scratches from normal use on saucer base where cupsits. Only seen when magnified. One very tiny either missed paint or poppedporcelain on the saucer green band. A beautiful and collectable tea cup andsaucer set to add to your collection.
