Gorgeous buckle made in the France. The metal is elaborately decorated with stylised flora and accompany foliage with the frame being of typical art nouveau whiplash design. The buckle is vividly decorated in multi coloured enamels in naturalistic colours. The enamel is dense with rich iridescence ~ if you zoom in you can see the depth of the enamelling . i have kept this for about 20 years or more. i bought it from a sweet Jewish lady in London and i gave rather a lot for it as she was so so funny and nice :-)

This could have been used either for a Nurses\' uniform or for the belt of a costume. The decorative sections are about about 8.1 cms placed side by side. The enamel has a couple of small hairlines not visible with the naked eye and if you scrutinise it very carefully there is a small amount of lifting in the top right. i never noticed this until i took the high res photo. Not a lot over its 100 + years and rather good i would say ~ please zoom in and take a closer look.

Any boxes, mannequins or fabrics are for display only. everything is photographed in natural light with a flash. We do not enhance colours but there could be difference between browsers etc. If you need an item to be a specific colour please ask before offerding. We try to keep postage costs down, please do not be unfair in your star appraisal, we recycle wherever possible but even sellotape costs money.

Up to £50 thereafter we can either split and combine to another £50 or Special Delivery whichever works out better for you and we do post international but we will only send items Tracked. If you do win more than one item please wait for your invoice so that i can save you on your shipping costs.

We do accept returns for anything that we have not described correctly but in the case of change of mind we will not be able to refund the initial postage cost. We are human beings and on occasion will probably make a mistake but will do everything we can to resolve one if it happens.If you have any problems with your purchase please contact us as we want you to be happy with your item and our service.

A bit about me : i worked for many years in the Antiques Trade specialising first in antique clothing and Textiles and then i specialised in Art Deco and Art Nouveau, generally glass and sculpture and metal ware. i stood at many of the top fairs eg Olympia, Claridges, The Dorchester, The NEC and bought and sold in Sothebys, Christies and Bonhams. i appeared on TV a few times as an Expert, served on Vetting Committees and so on. i gave up the Material World for a number of years whilst i concentrated on Meditation, Healing and other Spiritual endeavours but am now selling on to pay the rent :-) i really do love the pieces that pass through my hands and i enjoy \'meeting\' people across the globe and feel good making them feel good. i try to follow the Reiki precepts ~ one of which is \'To earn an honest living\'.
