This beautiful blue over-sized Imperial German banknote featuresthe full surface vignette (steel-etched illustration) of two classical females flanking the medallic head of Germania, with a warrior\'s helmet at the lower left. The reverse is ultra ornate with a giant blue Imperial eagle underlying intricately swirling letters and 2 red (or green) Imperial eagle seals.

GERMAN CURRENCY ADVISORY:

Collect-a-thon is pleased to be offering some of the highest quality German currency in the world. Great, you say, but aren\'t 80 to 90 year-old German issues relatively common on ?

Take a closer look. How many of those notes are in truly uncirculated condition - how many have NOT passed thru a hundred hands? Precious few! 90% of what\'s offered is little better than rag quality, with serious impairments such as holes, rips, splits, heavy folds, burn marks, stains etc. being commonplace. Now and then you\'ll see an XF and on rare occasions even an AU or \"UNC\" but how often do you see someone daring to call a vintage German banknote Choice Uncirculated or for that matter a \"Gem\"? Very very rarely.

The highest grade German banknotes are much scarcer than you might think, and drastically undervalued. If you look at what a staggering premium high grade U.S. Currency commands compared to the very modest one typical for German notes, you\'ll see what we mean.

We can\'t lay claim to having every German issue in unimprovable grade (no one can). But we do believe that, overall, we have the most issues in the best available grades (certainly among U.S. sellers).
