Description:This sale is for an antique estate Birmingham England Hallmarked sterling silver .925 condiment set in presentation box. The set consists of one pepper pot with lid, one salt bowl with cobalt blue glass liner, one handled mustard pot with attached lid, and cobalt blue glass liner, one salt cellar spoon, & one mustard spoon. Each sterling piece is hallmarked with what APPEARS to be an H & R, which could be for Haseler & Restall, but marks are worn & I am uncertain. Each sterling piece is marked with the Birmingham England anchor mark, & the sterling Lion mark. The spoons are marked with an X. The pepper, mustard and salt bowl have a Y. The pepper pot is marked on the side, while it\'s lid is marked with the lion & Y. The salt bowl is marked on the side. The mustard pot is marked on the side & has the lion & Y on the lid as well. The presentation box measures approximately 8 1/2 by 4 inches wide, & 2 5/8 inches tall. The pepper pot measures approximately 2 7/8 inches tall, salt bowl 1 5/8 inches tall, mustard pot 2 3/4 inches tall, salt spoon 2 3/4 inches long, & the mustard spoon 3 1/4 inches long. The sterling pieces weigh a TOTAL of approximately 5.180 ozt. The sterling pieces and box are in antique estate condition as follows;GOOD-NO DENTS OR REPAIRS. THERE IS SOME SCRATCHING, TARNISH, AND WEAR CONSISTENT WITH THE AGE OF THE PIECES AND NORMAL USAGE. THERE ARE SOME CHIPS ALONG THE RIMS OF THE COBALT BLUE GLASS LINERS. SOME OF THE HALLMARKS HAVE WORN. THE PRESENTATION BOX HAS WEAR ON THE OUTSIDE, AND NEEDS CLEANING ON THE INSIDE, AS IT HAS SPOTS OF DIRT, POLISH, DUST AND YELLOWING. THE BOX CLASPS OPEN AND CLOSE PROPERLY. I HAVE GIVEN THE STERLING PIECES A LIGHT POLISHING. AREAS UNDER THE GLASS THAT WERE REMOVED FOR PHOTOS HAVE MORE TARNISH. THERE IS GLARE AND REFLECTION IN SOME PHOTOS. Please feel free to ask me for more photos, as I could not get them all in the listing.
