This model is uniquely equipped with a hack set movement which is distinctive of military watches due to the critical nature of military missions. The idea is that when a group of watches need to be synchronized, the stem is hacked (pulled out) when the second hand is at the 12 o’clock position and then set to the correct time when the crown is pushed in at the time of the master timepiece. Old WWII movies sometimes depicted a scene where the soldiers grabbed their watches when the captain ordered, “Synchronize your watches!”, then everyone would stare at their watch waiting for the captain to call, “Mark!”. For this reason, this movement is equipped with an extra wheel for the center seconds hand. Right now, the military enthusiast in you should be very, very interested! The dial met the military specifications of a black dial with a \"center second\" hand and a \"24 Hour\" dial where the hands travel around only once. This timepiece measures approximately 51mm by 57mm with the inset crown. The case is signed \"KEYSTONE SILVER 300 FINE\". A nice coin edge border is on both front & back.
