This is a beautiful Cape Cod Glass Works Christmas tree paperweight chock full of bits of latticino and filigree covering the surface of the tree. It measures 3 1/2\" high, and almost 2\" across base. Bottom has signature/date cane \"CCGW94\". It is in excellent condition with no chips, or cracks. Bill Burchfield started glass working at Pairpoint in the 1970\'s, and went on to start his own studio/glass factory in the late 70\'s or early 80\'s, in Buzzards Bay, MA, then on to Sagamore, MA in the late 80\'s working through the 1990\'s, until it moved to Tennessee in about 2000 only working for a brief time before finally ceasing operations, and made some of the most beautiful crown weights, swirls, marbries, and millefiori paperweights and marbles, at the height of his career in the 1990s, and was best known for his Clichy style rose canes which are some of the best contemporary examples, in my opinion, but sadly passed away a little over a year ago. This piece was purchased directly from the family, and bottom has a \"CCGW 94\" signature / date cane.
