Offered...a gorgeous weaving c. 1900, possibly from the Ganado area.
There are no holes, tears, or defects. There are 3 repairs to the selvage which we have pictured.
The weaving texture is fine, soft and thin, and contains colors of aniline and vegetal dyes and indigo....no bleeding.
In looking at the pics you might perceive what appears to be some dark smudges....what you are seeing is variations in the natural colors of the wool.
It measures 55.5\" long and 32\" wide....just about the right size for a youth.
There are numerous lazy lines, and note the extremely small sharp serrations on the triangles.
This beauty has never before been offered on the open market.
