This is a beautiful and touching antique Victorian era mourning memorial for two infants, given to Mrs. Adda Green by her husband Jacob Green on May 1, 1895. There is a dove hovering over flowers and an anchor. It says, \"In Loving Remembrance of Our Little Darlings, Infant Son, Died July 5, 1865, Aged 14 Days. Annie Green, Died Dec. 28, 1875, Aged 2 Y, 5M, 15D.\" The poem at the bottom is, \"These lovely buds so young and fair, Called hence by early doom, Came to show how sweet these flowers, In paradise would bloom, Ere sin could harm or sorrow fade, Death came with friendly care; The opening buds to Heaven conveyed, And bade them blossom there.\" There is a very ornate border around the perimeter. The color of the art is black and shades of white and golds. The frame measures 20 3/4\" wide X 33\" tall. The art measures 13 1/2\" wide X 25 1/2\" tall.

The frame is very ornate as well, with dimension of flowers and fern. The color is a light blue green wit h gold embossing. This piece is in very good condition for its age. There are a few very small areas of chipping on the edge of the frame, exposing the underlying wood (see pictures), but the majority of the very ornate frame is intact. The artwork is protected under glass and is in very good condition.
