A large and extremely attractive purse style card caseEngraved MOP with a diamond shaped silver plaque embellished with a decorated blank shield cartoucheSilver is unmarked but I would estimate that this item is late Victorian to Edwardian in date
4 1/8 x 3 1/8 x 1/2 inch10.6 x 7.8 x 1.5 cm
The mother of pearl is very lustrous but there is a little damage: 1 small chip to one corner approx 3 x 3 mm; one small section on one edge is missing approx 13 x 5 mm - see last 2 photos. Both should be repairable
The interior has a blue watered silk liningThere is a gold edged blue card concertina section with folded silk ends for cards or small coinsThere are 12 sections, however some are stuck together but I believe they have never been properly separated.Some damage to this card and one silk end requires gluing back in place
Contains 2 cards for Walter Marshall, Parr\'s Bank, Winsford.There was a bank called this which originated in this area and finally merged with the London County & Westminster Bank in 1914.
Clasp and hinges are both in working order and in good conditioned
