Unusual , Russian silver-gilt and shaded enamel ring box with lid. Original (not a new fake or reproduction). Nikolaj Agafonov, Moscow, circa 1905. Marked on the back HA in Russian for Nikolaj Agafonov, 88 silver with woman\'s head looking left and initials И.Л. - Moscow silver mark with initials of the head of Assay Office, Ivan Sergeevich Lebedkin (plate # 3878 at Postnikova-Loseva. Gold and silver XV-XX cent.), cover also marked with 88 silver and maker HA hallmark. Lid got date engraving inside for 20th anniversary 1896-1906. Top quality workmanship! Pink amethyst on the top of the lid. Size: 2.3/4\" tall with cover, 2.1/2\" wide in the middle section, weight: 4.23 oz. or 120.2 gr.
