Scrawled nicely into the base is one name...Hassan. Another of Miss Harriet\'s relics of Egyptology. Seth or Set is 9 3/4\" tall, nearly 5\" front to back, and 2\" across. He is heavy with a weight of 2 pound 3 ounces.
My belief is this was carved from soapstone. It was finely done with intricate detail etched in to the seated deity. According to Egyptian lore, Set was a god of the desert, storms, disorder, and violence. Seems like he\'s pretty active today.
With ancient hieroglyphs running down either side and back of his throne, you will be astonished as Seth transforms you to another land in another time.
