This is a beautiful sterling silver Havdalah Besamim in sterling silver. This spice box measures 8 inches tall, including the 3/8\" decorative finial. It is 3 inches wide at the base and about 2 3/4 inch diameter at the decorative band in the middle. It weighs a total of 318.9 grams of guaranteed solid sterling silver. It does have a wooden base, but this is only at the bottom. The lid alone weighs 35.1 grams, so this is a heavy silver piece! It has British hallmarks that I believe date this piece to 1931. It is in overall excellent condition, with no flaws at first look, however I am going to nitpick. There is a small, shallow dent on the side, shown in photo 2, and close up in photo 3. There are two small dents on the base, shown in photos 4 and 5. There is a small dent on the lid, shown on the right side in photo 6; it can also be seen on the left in photo 1. These are very minor, but are described andphotographed in detail for full disclosure. You can see in photos 7 & 8 that the inside is nice and clean.This is a beautiful piece, in great condition, sure to make a nice addition to your collection.
