Beautiful vintage Tutsi Tribe Basket, Rwanda 1978:

Beautifully handcrafted vintage Tutsi Tribe basket with lid (6\"x 3.25\"). Excellent condition, very clean and supple for it\'s age. Includes original Xanadu II Gallery Card dated 4/22/78 (see picture). The description of the basket on the card says \"cotton fiber\" which I believe is incorrect - something was probably lost in translation. I\'ve seen two very similar baskets for sale with the same vintage Xanadu II Gallery card which leads me to believe that the card and the basket do belong together. The Metropolitan Museum of Art Tutsi Basketry page describes the baskets as being mostly made from bamboo, grass, cane, reed, raffia and banana leaves.
