In this lot are eleven (11) original published drawings and three (3) matching manuscripts for stories that were published in a British magazine for boys or girls in 1927. Included are the following:

1. Uncle John\'s Cottage — 6-page typewritten manuscript by V. C. Alexander and the original art by G. Beuzeville Foyster for four (4) illustrations that were published with the story; one full-page illustration includes a hand-colored overlay

2. Big Enough at Eight — 7-page typewritten manuscript by Constance Heward and the original art by W. S. Foyster for four (4) illustrations that were published with the story; one full-page drawing includes a hand-colored overlay

3. Cricket at the Zoo — the original art by Ken Sydney for one (1) illustrations that was published with caption

4. And So— — the original art by James Clark for one (1) illustration that was published with verses by W. Hodgson

5. How to Make a Toy Cannon — 1-page typewritten manuscript by G. E. Hopcroft and the original art by G. E. Hopcroft for the one (1) illustration that was published with the story.

Included are same-size black-and-white printer\'s proof sheets for most, if not all, of the illustrations. Manuscripts are hand-corrected and some signed by the author.

Manuscripts show some handling; illustrations are in nice condition although showing some aging and mild discoloration: overall, VERY GOOD - FINE condition.

Purchaser will be charged $9.00 for freight and insurance for delivery via Priority within USA; $39.00 for Priority Mail International (insured) for shipment outside of USA; $28.00 Priority Mail International (insured) to Canada.
