Here is a VINTAGE to ANTIQUE NAVAJO RUG MOST LIKELY FROM THE CRYSTAL REGION OF THE RESERVATION and FROM ABOUT 1930 (1925-1935), IT IS HAND WOVEN WITH HAND SPUN, CARDED AND HAND DYED CHURRO SHEEP WOOLS!!!! This blanket is hand woven from hand spun and finely hand carded beautiful Navajo Reservation Churro Sheep Wools - the shades of grey, beige, brown, and white, are made from hand spun and carded natural color Churro Sheep Wools. The bright red wools at each corner are hand spun and hand dyed Churro Wools - dyed with Aniline Red Dyes (obtained from the Trading Posts of the time).

The size of this textile is large and approximately 72\" X 44\",with a hand spunwool warp of about 8, and a hand spun Wool Weft of about 30, a tight and finely woven, very durable rug.Abeautifully designed piece of Native America, ready todisplayas is!

CONDITION - EXCELLENT For Age, a Vintage to Antique NAVAJO Weaving (Please see all pics!): The wools within this rug are in great condition (still have plenty of luster and sheen, really beautiful), NO Stains, NO Fading, NO Bleeding of colors, NO Holes..... There is no notable damage to this weaving, it was used as a floor rug brieflywith very little traffic on it, it lays flat. This weaving displays extremely well as is, note theserrated pattern with the 2 bands of gold and red in each corner as highlights. The End Selvage Cords are 100% present/intact, a braid of two, 2-ply white wool yarns. The Side Selvage Warps are 100% intact/present as well, with no breaks/loss to sideedges. The corners are in excellent condition, and the 4 corner ties are mostlypresent, with some wear,due to use/time (see pic of corners).
