Blue Jasperware Tea Set with Teapot, Sugar and Creamer Bamboo Style Antique :

This tea set consisting of a Teapot, a Sugar Bowl and a Creamer is made in a bamboo style and is just gorgeous. We believe this to be jasperware and old jasperware at that, back when all the potters were trying to duplicate what Wedgwood was doing. There is a small chip on the spout of the teapot that shows that the blue colors go all the way through. This is indicative of old jasperware. I have only been able to find one similar that was unmarked like this one and the teapot alone sold for over $200. These are rare pieces of old time English potters. This was acquired from an estate of a collector of Staffordshire pottery and English wares. Her collection was truly amazing... Don\'t miss out on this!

While this is in great condition for its age it does have a couple of issues. First the underside of the spout in the teapot has a small chip, but this is where you will see the stone that continues it\'s blue color throughout. There are also some hairline cracks on the underside as you can see in the images but it really does not affect the piece.

You\'ll also notice a bright sheen on the images. The pieces aren\'t that bright but the camera makes it look that way but the color itself is very unique. There is a more glazed appearance to these pieces, more of polished jasperware. Very unique and unusual, and just simply wonderful!

The teapot measures approximately 5 1/2\" tall at its highest point and 9 1/2\" from spout to outside handle. The sugar measures approximately 4\" tall including lid and just under 5\" wide at its widest point. The creamer measures approximately 2 1/2\" tall at its highest point and almost 5\" from spout to outside handle.

It\'s just unique and beautiful. Try and find another one just like it!
