  • AUTHENTIC Hermes silk scarf carre , 100% silk twill, Pierres d\'Orient et d\'Occident .Designed in 1988/89, is based on marquetry using exotic wood from the orient as well as rare wood from local sources. There are also precious stones inlaid to which the title \"pierres\" refers. The artist signature discreetly part of wood border is \"Zoe\" Pauwels. The inspiration behind the scarf is the renaissance period and the Medici\'s were particularly enamored with this type of marquetry.
