Breyer\'s Lady Phase in dapple gray, produced as a special run for JC Penney in 1990 as one of three models in their Breyer Traditional Horse Set. Grey with resist dappling, and black mane, tail, legs, and dorsal stripe. Has tiny eartip rubs, and left front foreleg does not quite touch the ground (this is not noticible except when handling, and the model stands squarely and is stable without any additional support). With its beautiful color and shading, this is arguably one of the most stunning Lady Phase models Breyer ever produced!
About the seller: I collected Breyer models throughout the 80s and early 90s, with an emphasis on the older/vintage (pre-Reeves) models and the non-equine animals. I competed in, judged, and helped organize live shows, and while I had some moderate success in the halter and performance classes, the Breyer Collector\'s Class was my passion. Never using the same grouping of models twice, I won every Collector\'s Class I ever entered. At one point I owned over 300 models, far more than I had the space to properly display, and I finally decided that it is time to pass them on for other people to enjoy. I know what is important to my fellow collectors, and am careful to accurately document each model\'s condition and flaws, even if this dissuades some buyers. I do my best to price them fairly (i.e., what I would be willing to pay), based on condition, rarity, and current collector demand. You probably won\'t find many \"steals\" among the models I sell, but OTOH, you will never see me asking $75 for a \"rare\" beat up palomino Family Arab either! If you don\'t agree that my asking price is fair, feel free to make a reasonable offer or wait to see if I drop the price if I have to relist it. I charge actual shipping costs with no added handling fees, and include extra insurance at no charge when shipping any package with a total value of more than $50. I usually ship within 24 hours of receiving payment, and very often the same day. All models are shipped Priority mail, and are very carefully packaged, as if they were my own (which they are)!
