Up for sale is a one inch diameter brass steam whistle WOV made by the Buckeye Brass Works in Dayton Ohio.Somewhat ornate for its size it was likely used as a low water alarm on a steam boiler.Being small and high pitched it could be heard overthe normal noise of a boiler room.Has a unique nut to lock the bell in place with two opposing flats. Whistle is in excellent condition withminimalwrench marks on the hex flats and nodamage,dents, dings cracks, welds repairs, etc. Measures 1\" diameter with a 3/8\" NPT inlet. Bell is 2.25\" tall and whistle stands 4.5\" tall.
