You are offerding on a large, very rare original antiqueengraving from an 1870s French illustrated journal.

It depicts a \"circle hunt\" by mounted native American indians, who have circled a huge heard of buffalo with their galloping horses. They have killed a dozen with spears, which lay outside the circle. Hundreds more animals are inside the circle.

Also included with the print is a second page from the same journal with an 36-inch article. It is in French, but free computer translation programs make it easy to translate.

The caption reads: Le Cerne
which roughly translates to: The circle

It is very large (folio size), measuring approximately 10.5 x 14.5 inches (26.5 x 36.5 cm). The picture fills most of the page, with a Frenchcaption below.

The page is in excellent condition for its age. There is text/photos on the back of the print. See scan for an accurate view of the condition.
