Buffalo Nickel Vintage Coin One Hat Pin Tie Tack For Sale

This sale is for one (1) vintage Buffalo Nickel hat pin tie tack.
I made this hat pin tie tack using a vintage buffalo nickel & metal glue to secure the tack to the back of the coin. It measures 3/4" round by approx. 1/2" thick from front to back at its thickest point & comes with a rubber pin back.
Did you know that the "Indian Head Nickel" was minted from 1913
to 1938 & although it's often called a "Buffalo nickel", the "Indian
Head" is actually the front of the coin & the "Buffalo" is the
back?:) Did you also know that James E. Fraser used "Chief Iron Tail"
of the Oglala Sioux tribe, "Two Moons" of the Cheyenne & "Big Tree" of the
Kiowa as models to create the indian head profile on the nickel?
All the nickels I use are authentic vintage coins & most were used to
play antique slot machines which has given some a "grinded", "sanded" or
"flattened" look plus tons of scratches, chips, nicks, discolorations & most
have no dates at all.
Just before pin backs are added, each
coin is gently cleaned using an antibacterial cleanser only to insure
most of the original 'patina' remains intact & I leave it to the buyer
to 'shine' or 'polish' the coins if that is your wish.
