DETAILS:
Case: \'Senator’ model. Delightful, tonneaushaped case with interesting small curved stepped lugs. Original andsigned \'Bulova\' on the inside of the case back. The 10kt gold plated bezel andstainless steel case back have been repolished and topped off with a newmineral glass crystal. In general the case looks fantastic with only slightwear/scratches present commensurate with the age of the watch.
Crown: Original, unsigned,showing only slight wear.
Dial: Complimentingthe lustre of the case, the dial has been professionally refinished, in acopper tone ‘butler’ finish. The numerals are in white with a slight shadoweffect. The ‘Bulova’ name and minute chapter are in black. There is asub-second dial at the six o’clock position. Hands are new ‘Bulova’ stock,blue/black steel modern style.
Movement: BULOVASwiss manual wind movement. This is a fine classic 8AE calibre, with 17 jewelsand is marked with an ‘o’ symbol for 1944. The movement has been cleaned, oiled & adjusted, and is running wellkeeping good time ready to wear. As with all vintage watches regular servicingis recommended.
Size: Tonneau shaped, approx. 33.94mmlong (including lugs) X 21.57mm wide (excluding crown). Approx. 28.23mmexcluding the lugs.
Band: Smart, new black leather 14mm bandwith gold tone buckle has been fitted which complements the watch perfectly.
General comments:
This is a delightful example of a Bulova ‘Senator’watch from 1944, which has been refurbished to appeal once again. Therepolished case with shell-like lugs and eye-catching copper tone dial make thewatch highly attractive. The watch has a pleasing classic look and feel thatsimply cannot be found in newer watches.

The watch will come in a smart, new, black and darkbrown presentation box with white cushion. A nice touch, so you\'re notsearching around for something to put the watch in. This box is not part of thelisting, it is a gift, free of charge.

- This is a vintage manual watch with a movement from 1944 some 70 years old, and as such it will not have the accuracy of a contemporary quartz movement therefore perfect time accuracy cannot be expected. If you want a watch to simply put on and go – then perhaps this is not the best choice you could make – however, if you want a period timepiece that you can admire and enjoy on each occasion you wear it, then this is a great item.
